2006 POSTCARD COMPETITION
The PGR postcard competition was judged by well-known Melbourne artist Jon Cattapan and has been won by Laura Deinema. Laura has just completed VCE at Melbourne Girls' College, and titled her postcard STATE SCHOOLS ARE GREAT SCHOOLS!
Below is a paragraph from her about her state school experience:
" I have just completed my education graduating amongst the top 5% of the state's 2006 VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) students.
Having spent the last thirteen years of my education in the public system, I can maintain that they have given me all of the encouragement, support and social skills not just to succeed academically, but in other key areas of life, such as leadership and personal development.
A true all round education. It's fair to say that state schools truly are great schools!"
